So today I got a phone call at work from a Self-Publishing agency called AuthorHouse UK.
I took some time to go outside of the office and listen to what they had to say; it was probably 15-20 minutes before I understood their proposal.
But you can imagine, until this point, I thought that maybe this was a traditional publisher asking to learn more about me and my book.
The information given to me on the phone was pretty clear and understandable, but they ultimately did ask for financial commitment from myself.
Now, I can understand that this is a business model, and I accept that. It’s my choice to accept it, at the end of the day.
But, having turned down another offer, I decided to investigate and see what was different, if at all.
Suffice to say, not much really.
I still find internet articles regarding pretty serious complaints here, and here.
I’m sure it’s not all like this, and this isn’t what ultimately pushed me to make my decision.
Go and look for this company (and also the other, Austin Macauley).
See my point?
